Accident causes Skyway traffic jam

Skyway O&M Corporation traffic officers and an Automobile Association of the Philippines towing truck respond to the emergency, clearing the accident scene by 12 noon.

At about 11 a.m. on August 31, an accident involving an Isuzu trailer truck with plate number BVN-232 at Pasong Capre Bridge in Brgy. Cupang, Muntinlupa City caused a traffic jam inside the Skyway System’s northbound at-grade section which extended up to Susana Heights.

According to mobile patrol officers of the Skyway O&M Corporation (SOMCO),   the trailer truck apparently avoided a passenger bus that swerved and cut its lane.  A truck helper, Alvin Abania, suffered minor injuries but refused to be brought to the hospital. The accident also caused damage to the tollway perimeter fence.  The case was turned over to the Highway Patrol Group while the damage to Skyway property is still being assessed.
